You threw yourself whole heartedly into building your private practice in those first few years.
You worked hard to establish yourself and what you want from your practice.
You’re now seeing clients on a regular basis.
And you’re fantastic at helping them find their way back to health and wellness.
Bam!! You hit the wall! 🧱🧱
You’ve given so much over and over again, you feel like you are dangerously low on giving a rat’s ass for anything, let alone your clients’ issues.
This beautiful one is called compassion fatigue.
Arising from being able to identify with those experiencing emotional trauma and turmoil and slowly feeling like you have no more empathy left to give.
Take your own advice.
Pay attention to your own emotional state.
It’s important that you take a day off from time to time and spend some quiet time just for you, however this may look like for you.
Schedule this in your diary like a boss! It should really be a non-negotiable.
If you would find it useful as an emotional balance for yourself – Find your own therapist.
This is important not just for you, but for your clients as well.
You will become a far more effective therapist, listener and human when you can give from a place of plenty within you.
How do YOU take care of you?💜
